Neil christie, Director of Growth Markets at Wieden and Kennedy, leaves the creative network after 17 years. After a period of self-reflection during the Covid pandemic, Christie leaves the advertising industry to study literature. Managing Director of W&K London from 2004 to 2017, Christie established the agency as one of the UK’s most respected creative boutiques.
Leo burnett London Creative Director Chaka Sobhani was promoted to become the global CCO of the Publicis Groupe network. Sobhani will be responsible for evolving Leo Burnett’s creative standards, as well as recruiting and growing the next generation of creative talent, with a focus on diversity and inclusion.
She’s replacing Liz taylor, who was named Global CCO at Ogilvy, where she will be responsible for creation in 132 offices in 83 countries. Taylor succeeds Piyush Pandey, who has been named President of Global Creation and continues as President of Ogilvy India.
Manning Gottlieb OMD promoted Kat Bozicevich to the general manager and Claire Marker to the head of clientele. Bozicevich has held a client development role within the agency for the past three years, working on its Mitsubishi, Estée Lauder, QuickBooks and government accounts. She also led the team that delivered the FCA PPI campaign, which recently won an IPA Efficiency Bronze.
Marker’s promotion to Chief Client Officer comes after more than 20 years with the agency, working on accounts such as Virgin Media, Waitrose & Partners, Age UK and LNER.
MediaCom named Nancy Lengthorn as the world’s first head of inclusion and culture. Lengthorn, who is currently Head of Inclusion and Membership at MediaCom UK and WPP, will become responsible for sharing existing diversity and inclusion programs across the former’s global network, as well as designing new initiatives.
Javier Campopiano has been promoted to Global Creative Partner at Grey, a new position responsible for overseeing the agency’s creative work in Europe and Asia. He will report to John Patroulis, Gray’s Global Creative Director. He will also take on a new role of steering creative production during a global mission at WPP. Campopiano will work closely with Patroulis and Rob Reilly, WPP’s Head of Global Creation, and will work from the new Borderless Studio in Madrid.
Adam & Eve / DDB merged Cain & Abel and Gutenberg Global to form a global in-house production agency. The combined agency, which will use the name Cain and Abel, will be led by Claire Bowers, CEO of Gutenberg since 2018, and Gary Whipps, COO of Gutenberg, both of whom will retain their job titles in the new entity.
Bartle Bogle Hegarty London hired Christine turner and Kevin Masters as Creative Directors. Turner and Masters will lead Tesco’s business and oversee the creative production of the supermarket above the line, in-store and on social media. They were previously Group Creative Directors at VCCP, where they managed the Paddy Power account and created campaigns such as “Save our shirt”. Earlier in their career, Turner worked at Adam & Eve / DDB, and Masters at DDB and Marcel in Sydney.
Oystercatchers named Gill huber as manager. She is from Posterscope where she has worked for seven years and as a Client Manager since 2018. Huber will report directly to Managing Director Richard Robinson and will work closely with Suki Thompson, President of Oystercatchers.
Wavemaker named Nicolas Brézet as global media manager for his L’Oréal account, based in Paris. From 2016 to 2019, he was Senior Vice President and Head of the Behavioral Data Group at Ipsos in New York. He has since worked as an independent consultant.
The door named Andrea Ferlauto as director of design. His previous role was Senior Designer and Art Director at Who Wot Why. She has also worked in agencies such as AnalogFolk and AKQA and for brands such as Guinness, HSBC, Duracell, Grolsch and The Macallan.
Creative agency for children ChildrenKnowledge named Ed Hallinan-Rhodes as director of strategy. He joins Havas Media’s Jump, where he was commercial director.
Kate mander joined A casting as head of business development in UK and Ireland. Mander joins the company’s dedicated in-house creative team and will be responsible for key brand partnerships and activations. She will work closely with Acast’s top podcasting talent to take advantage of the 58% increase in UK registered brand spending last year. Mander was Head of Talent Partnerships at The Stylist Group until his departure in November 2020 and founded the Straight Talk Talent partnership agency.
Vevo hired Lindsey Saunders as the UK team’s commercial director. Saunders, who has managed strategic sales and created bespoke campaigns for ITV for six years, will help develop and grow Vevo’s sales team by targeting key portfolio groups and leading the UK business. Saunders also worked at Bell Media Canada, where she developed and sold cross-platform advertising campaigns incorporating integrated TV, online and on-air content for CTV, CP24 and corresponding digital platforms.
Global brand experience agency Animated named Steve richards as chief operating officer. Creative digital agency based in Newcastle Inspired named Marc Cranston as director of business development. In the newly created role, Cranston reports to Managing Director Mark Patterson. Cranston previously spent over nine years as Director of Business Development at Mediaworks, also based in Newcastle. Inspired clients include Hitachi, Hays Travel and the NHS.
Independent digital media quality assurance platform Perception named Dominic Trigg as CEO. He was previously Director of Revenue at Captify, has experience in advertising roles at Yahoo and Microsoft and will continue to act as an advisor to several digital companies including Viztrade and Fifty Technology.
New business Experience is everything launched this month to meet the rapidly growing demand for connected packaging. Created by the former Director of Global Strategy at JWT and Imagination Paul Simonet, the new agency appointed the founder of VCCP Priest Ian as a non-executive director. He will work with a purpose-built team of creative, technology and marketing specialists delivering end-to-end solutions to businesses looking to maximize the value of their packaging connected to their customer base.
Rakuten advertising named Rakhee jogia as international general manager. Jogia joined as Head of Business Development in 2010 and since 2019, Vice President of Partnerships with Publishers, International. As an international MD, working from the London office, she will oversee the EMEA, LATAM and APAC markets. She succeeds Anthony Capano who becomes North American Managing Director.
International active named Cameron Swan as Managing Director of UK. He previously held the same role in Australia.
PR street promoted Dorian Payne to Managing Director, as Founder, James Rix returns to focus on the digital activities of marketing agency Crowdify Global and the new Knowhere Special ad. Payne joined Street PR in 2005 as Director of Client Services. In addition to his new role, Payne will remain Experience Director for Crowdify, a role he took on in June 2020.
