It started late last year when we added a full-time residential reporter to complement our business coverage, creating a powerful team that owns the beat for real estate in Southeast Michigan.

Now it has grown to include two weekly newsletters and a podcast featuring movers and shakers in the industry – all of which will launch next week.

Here’s what you can expect and how to sign up:

• Crain’s current Real Estate Report newsletter, aired weekly on Tuesdays, will become the Commercial Real Estate Report with a senior reporter Kirk Pinho. He will feature Kirk’s acclaimed Real Estate Insider blog, a must-read for industry professionals, homeowners, and anyone who travels to Southeast Michigan weekly to find out who’s building what, where, and why. Look for the first edition of this business-oriented newsletter on Tuesday.
• On Thursday, we’re launching a new weekly Residential Real Estate Report newsletter with a reporter Arielle Kass, which joined Crain’s in July and is already carving out a niche in the residential market. Look for his enterprising articles on local housing issues, industry trends, notable home sales and more in this newsletter.
• You can also listen to our coverage now. Crain’s Detroit is launching a commercial real estate podcast called The Build Up, scheduled every two weeks, which will feature conversations between Kirk and Arielle and industry experts on the biggest issues in real estate today. The podcast, produced and edited by Crain’s associate editor, Lauren Abdel-Razzaq, begins Tuesday with guest Antoine Bryant, the new director of the city of Detroit’s planning department. Find The Build Up on the Crain’s Conversations stream on Apple Podcasts, Google Play, iTunes, and other podcasting platforms.
