Over 125 speakers and over 50 confirmed sessions for the 2022 edition of Geo Week in Denver, CO
Portland, Maine – United States, October 19, 2021 – The organizers of Geo Week, the unique event that champions the meeting of geospatial technologies and the built world, have announced an impressive roster of conference sessions and speakers for the 2022 event, which will take place February 6-8 2022, in Denver, CO. The conference program includes over 125 speakers spread over 50 sessions with content that explores best practices in 3D capture, works in the built environment, gets ROI from BIM, defines what is possible now with lidar, and much more.
The coming together of the AEC Next Technology Expo & Conference, the International Lidar Mapping Forum and the SPAR 3D Expo & Conference to form the Geo Week reflects the increased integration between the built environment, advanced airborne / ground technologies and 3D technologies commercial. Partner events organized in conjunction with Geo Week include the annual ASPRS conference, MAPPS Winter Meeting, and the USIBD Annual Symposium, bringing together geospatial and global built industry players and shakers in one place.
Presenters representing leading organizations including Autodesk, Esri, USGS, The Beck Group, Hexagon Geosystems, GM, Caltrans, Velodyne Lidar, Draper, MLB and NASA will share their expertise on a range of topics. Featured sessions include:
Geo Week will have multiple leads with content clearly identified as relevant to one or more of the audience groups feeding Geo Week. The audience for the International Lidar Mapping Forum (ILMF) has always been made up of precision measurement professionals in surveying and mapping who use airborne and terrestrial lidar and associated remote sensing technologies. AEC Next audience has historically been comprised of architectural, engineering, and construction (AEC) professionals who use technologies such as reality capture, automation, AI, and XR to bid and manage projects and improve workflows. SPAR 3D’s audience has always been made up of professionals who use 3D capture, scanning, visualization and modeling technologies in a variety of verticals.
“We have witnessed the growing convergence between geospatial and the built world,” said Lee Corkhill, director of group events at Diversified Communications, organizer of Geo Week. “We believe the market is ready and eager for this next step of leveraging the confluence of technologies for improved collaboration, increased efficiency and better results. Much of the conference content and technology presented will reflect and support this growing integration. At the same time, we recognize that individuals and organizations are at different levels of adoption, so there will be much more content focused on the traditional AEC Next, ILMF, and SPAR 3D topics.
Geo Week will provide training, technology and resources to professionals in sectors such as AEC, asset and facility management, disaster and emergency response, Earth observation and satellite applications , energy and utilities, infrastructure and transportation, land and natural resource management, mining and aggregates. , surveying and mapping, and urban planning and smart cities.
More than 80 companies have confirmed stands on the exhibition floor, more companies are confirmed every week and more than 100 associations and media companies are registered as supporters.
